Sculptures
This are images from a full room I built as an installation piece as
part of my BFA show. It was about my little brother and his life to
that point. I titled it "For Emory" and although I spent a lot of time
and money and think it is one of my best works of art ever hardly
anyone came and those who did didn't really get the piece. I have had
some people react very negatively towards this piece and me for
making it. I have a video of it as well. The room smelled like beer and
smoke. The fire department was called on me during the making.
The baby crib is made out of rust barb wire and scrap steel.
I only painted the ball red - it was an act of
vandalism prompted by the universities
act of vandalism when they decided to
mute the sculpture by painting it green. I
am very proud of myself for this. I didn't
even get in trouble with the cops for this.
